What is the aim of this course?
The role of a Close Protection Officer today is more diverse than ever before and as such the Bodyguard must be competent in many different aspects of security.It is not sufficient to merely gain an SIA licence and enter the field of Close Protection. The training you receive must be relevant and up to date, for that reason we go above and beyond the SIA criteria ensuring our students are more equipped to deal with whatever issues are thrown at them from day one. Each member of the team is an active CPO still working on the circuit in various roles ranging from High risk operations to VIP celebrity security and events, such is the diversity of the teams experience in Close Protection that it allows our training course to cater for every aspect of CP work and not just one specific type of role.
Who is it for?
You must be at least 18 or above and should hold a full Uk or European driving licence although if you do not hold a licence you may still attend the course and apply for a licence. As laid down by the SIA candidates must show that they hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate Ideally with 6 months validity at time of course, any candidate that does not hold a valid certificate should contact us for further training options as this training can be undertaken in the evenings of the course, or prior to course start date at an additional cost of £150. Candidates must be of reasonable health and fitness levels due to the nature of the course.
Valid Passport is required for firearms training course.
Our Training course is Ideal for those wishing to begin a career as a CPO or for those with experience requiring their SIA licence. We have developed our course with reality based training in mind and as the world and industry changes we aim to constantly adapt to the ever growing threat to security.
