This is a two day course for door supervisors who qualified before Sept 2010 to bring their training up to date.
This course involves a small amount of distant/home learning. You must complete this reading before the course begins.
Must be physically fit and will be asked to sign a medical form to state they have no injuries or illness that may affect them doing the course.
Module 1: Safety Awareness for door supervisors – this is taught at home and reading material will be sent to you upon registration on the course.
Module 2: Physical Intervention
This is a professional course and we would therefore ask you to dress sensibly i.e. smart casual.
FOOD & DRINK
No food or drink is to be consumed during the training course, including the chewing of gum. There will
be a sufficient number of breaks for you to obtain refreshments.
ALCOHOL & DRUGS
If the tutor(s) suspects any delegate of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the delegate will
be removed from the course immediately.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR & RESPONSIBILITIES (Duty of care)
You are expected to adhere to the advice/guidance from the tutor(s) at all times and only practice the
exercise that you are being asked to at that time. If you behave irresponsibly and cause an injury to
yourself or others, you will be held wholly responsible and removed from the course immediately.
THINGS TO BRING
Please bring the following with you:
• One recent colour passport photograph of you, preferably wearing a shirt and tie.
• Personal identification (see FAQ on www.dsto.co.uk if unsure)
• Pen & Paper
• A packed lunch (if venue does not sell food or refreshments)
If you do not have the necessary ID and a passport sized photo – you will not be able to sit the exams.
A qualified trainer with extensive industry experience will lead your course.

Terms & Conditions
The cost of the course covers 2 days of training, exam and certificate fees, 2 x FREE re-sits per module (if you need them) and VAT.
